In memory of John Russell's unparalleled service to Byfield as a Parish Councillor for 31 years, including a remarkable 24 years as Chairman, and president of the Byfield branch of the Royal British Legion for many years. John was also instrumental in developing the fantastic facilities at the Brightwell Recreation Ground that we enjoy in Byfield today.
